Getting To Know Guangzhou: Julong Village
I went to Fangcun area yesterday, which is a part of the Liwan district. I had bought a guidebook the day before, book that introduces historical places and sites in Guangzhou. One of them is Julong Village (聚龙村).
These first photos are from the said Julong Village which I circled in yellow to the map above. First a photo of a sign that offers more information about the small community. Click the image to see it larger.
Julong Village is a quiet little community and it looks like that only some houses have residents.
The following photos are from the area around the Julong Village, marked in the map with a blue circle.

you are a great writer and a talented photographer! You make me miss China so much. We traveled twice to Guangzhou during our trips to adopt our youngest daughters, now 5 and 6 yo. My eldest dd is 24. She went to China after college to teach English. She met and fell in love with a young man from France. Now they are still together but living in Australia. Anyway, I love your blog and your stories! And your photos!

I’ve only been to two places my self, Julong village and a pet market. But perhaps there is more to Fangchu than we know?

I see that you like to go to the less touristy and trodden places. Tranquil scenes and nice series of pictures. I like them. Seeing them is like you are actually there.

I hope the dog isn’t as sad as his/her eyes look like.

Hi Tiffany! The closest metro station is Huadiwan on Line 1 and it’s about 10 minutes walk from there. You can see the metro station’s logo in the first picture’s map as well.
The best thing would be to print a map or use one on your smart phone. The route from the metro station to the village isn’t that straightforward :)
Here’s a link to a baidu map: http://j.map.baidu.com/mjjS6
