Spending Christmas in China, again

This year was supposed to be the first year that we spend the Christmas in Finland with my family, we all know now that all those plans went to waste this year. Instead we are again trying to make the best of our holidays here in China.

Recently Miriam from Youtube channel called Miriam in China asked me to join her video and sharing our plans for the Christmas this year. She is from Sweden and I’m from Finland so we bet we have some similar wished for the holiday season. (See her YouTube video above or click here!)

After spending all Christmas holidays in China since 2010, I’m quite used to spending the most important festival of the year in Guangzhou. But I would be lying if I said it didn’t hurt to cancel our plans this year. I was really hoping for a traditional white Christmas in the North.

As we can’t go back to Finland now (difficult and expensive flights, quarantine back to China etc) we are instead going to Beijing! At least it’s going to be cold, and if we are lucky, it might even snow!

Speaking of Christmas, my local husband is terrible at buying gifts as it’s not a tradition he grew up with. So me and my friend came up with the perfect gift we ourselves would like to receive and gave it the name The Pause Box.

The Pause Box is a surprise gift box that includes high quality goods to help you relax, indulge, enjoy and grow. When life feels hectic, like it is while being an entrepreneur, mom, wife and having four pets, sometimes I just need an hour just for my self. For that moment we invented The Pause Box.

If you live in China and want to order the gift box for your self or as a gift, add my WeChat for more information (yaxuefang) or check details here.

What are your plans for Christmas this year? I hope that you and your family will most importantly stay safe!
